SHAMSHIR SABRE WITH STEEL MOUNTS

Shamshir with extremely fine Kirk Narduban laddered wootz damascus blade. Handle of white bone with chiselled steel crossguard. Scabbard covered with tooled leather with pierced steel scabbard mount decorated en suite crossguard. The lowest scabbard mount seems to be mid-19th century refurbishment with rich gold koftgari pattern.
