A Japanese full menpo face mask in the ‘ressei men’ style, Nara school. Lacquered in bright red with golden throat defence (yodari kake) of four plates. Laced in blue silk (sukage). Some loss on lacquer, missing moustache. The yodare-kake silk lacing is worn and needs to be replaced. Especially the last lame is half-loose from the lacing.
