STILETTO DAGGER FOR AN ARTILLERY OFFICER

3600,00

ITALY, c. 1680–1700

A very fine Italian stiletto dagger made for an artillery officer. The triangular blade is decorated with grindwheel marks. The steel mounts on the handle and scabbard finely chiseled with floral patterns. The bone grip is decorated with black dots made of cow horn. The grip, although twisted, doesn’t seem to be lacking any wire decoration. It is extremely rare to find this type of dagger with original scabbard in this condition.
