FILIPINO GUNONG KNIFE WITH SILVER MOUNTS

DESCRIPTION
An antique Filipino gunong knife manufactured probably in the 19th century Mindanao or Visayas. The wooden handle is fitted with silver mounts and a rolling ring with floral decorations. The etch-decorated steel blade is double-edged. The wooden scabbard is silver-mounted.

CONDITION
The knife is in good antique condition with some signs of age and wear. The metal belt loop of the scabbard is unfortunately broken. The knife fits well in its scabbard.
