FRENCH EGG-SHAPED BRASS THIMBLE BOX

DESCRIPTION
An antique egg-shaped chiseled brass box manufactured most probably in the 19th century Victorian period France. This type of brass boxes were used to store a thimble. A more practical modern use for it might be as a jewelry box. The box exterior is beautifully chiselled with grapevines. The lid is hinged and the interior tinned.

CONDITION
The item is in good antique condition with minor signs of age and overall wear.
