GERMAN WWI HANSEATIC CROSS (HANSEATENKREUZ)

DESCRIPTION
An original antique German WWI era medal, the Hanseatic Cross (Hanseatenkreuz) awarded by the State of Hamburg for the merits during the WWI. The medal is made of whitemetal and its frontside is finished with rich red enamel. The text ‘Für Verdienst im Kriege 1914’ is inscribed on the reverse. The original red-and-white silk ribbon is attached.

CONDITION
The medal is in good vintage condition with small signs of age and wear and patinated surface.
