FINNISH WWI COMMEMORATIVE CROSS OF THE BATTLE OF RAUTU

DESCRIPTION
An original antique Finnish WWI medal, the Commemorative Medal of the Battle of Rautu (Raudun Risti). This medal, designed by Aarno Karimo in 1921, was awarded to those White soldiers who participated in the Battle of Rautu during the Finnish Liberation War (1918). The medal is made of darkened bronze and the reverse is stamp-marked by the manufacturer (Oy M. Aalto & K). The original black-and-red silk ribbon is attached.

CONDITION
The medal is in good vintage condition with some signs of age and wear and patinated surface.
