SWEDISH M/1683 CAVALRY BREASTPLATE
SWEDISH LATE 17TH CENTURY
Swedish so-called Karolinian cavalry breastplate model 1683 from the period of the most famous Swedish warrior king Charles XII. This was the first Swedish pattern of armour, so-called bulletproof type with a dent of a musket shot on the center. Marked with the regimental marking number 6 and the official state army crown marking inside. This type of breastplate was used with leather straps crossing at the back and attached in the front with a belt.
