BRITISH M/1786 NAVAL OFFICER SPADROON

DESCRIPTION
An antique British M/1786 naval officer spadroon manufactured by JJ Runkel workshop in Solingen, Germany in the late 18th century. The gilded brass hilt has a chequered bone grip. The wide-fullered, single-edged steel blade is etch-decorated on its first-third. The spine is signed by the manufacturer. The sword comes without a scabbard.

CONDITION
The sword is in untouched antique condition with some signs of age and wear. The handleguard is slightly loose and the blade shows an old weld-repair on its last-sixth.
