A high-quality Georgian style shamshir with Western European floral patterns made as a museum display piece in 1939. The blade marked with an etched text: “Сделано для музея народов СССР Мастер Б. Тобшев 1939” (Made for the Museum of the Peoples of the USSR Master B. Tobshev 1939).

The leather scabbard is decorated with gilded copper alloy mounts and polished stones. Unusually the locket rings for suspension are on the highest and lowest scabbard mount. A unique object copying 18th century Georgian and European masterworks.
