OTTOMAN YATAGHAN SWORD

c. 1800–1840 OTTOMAN EMPIRE

This yataghan seems to have a finely patinated silver or copper alloy hilt with a gilded finish. The blade bears long texts. The scabbard with black leather that has been restored. Original silver mounts. (Silver mounts of scabbard and wooden core are original to this yataghan but leather was restored).
