DRESS KNIFE M/1919 FINLAND
FINLAND, c. 1920-1930
An early version of the classical Finnish dress knife M/1919 designed by Axel Gallen (Akseli Gallen-Kallela) during the first years of the Finnish independence. The short-bladed model pictured was used mostly by the Finnish NCOS and police officers. This example is made by Hackman & Co workshop, Finland and is equipped with a curved black-painted metal scabbard and the original leather strap. The knife is in good vintage condition with wear on the scabbard paint and a small dent on the scabbard.
