FINNISH M/1919 ‘GALLEN-KALLELA’ DRESS KNIFE

DESCRIPTION

An antique Finnish M/1919 crew model military dress knife designed by the famous Akseli Gallen-Kallela and manufactured by Fiskars Finland, approximately in the 1920s. The nickeled steel handle is fitted with smooth wooden grip scales, typical for the crew model. The fullered, clip-pointed steel blade is marked by the manufacturer The steel scabbard comes with a leather belt strap.

CONDITION

The knife is in good antique condition with signs of age and overall wear. The scabbard has a small dent and the original black colour of the handle and the scabbard is worn off. The knife fits well in its scabbard.
