SAMÍ STYLE PUUKKO KNIFE

A vintage Finnish Samí-style puukko knife, made by an unknown knife master, in the 1960s Finnish Lapland. The brown-dyed reindeer handle is decorated with a wolf silhouette. The fullered factory-made steel blade has no markings. The half-horn half-leather sheath is made in a typical samí style, decorated with samí motifs. It comes with a leather belt strap. The reverse side of the sheath has the owner’s inscription with the date 1964 on it, intended as a gift. The knife is in good vintage condition with small signs of wear. The upper leather part of the sheath is slightly loose. The knife fits well in its sheath.
