FINNISH WWII COMMEMORATIVE MEDAL OF THE SWEDISH VOLUNTEERS

DESCRIPTION
An original Finnish WWII era Commemorative Medal for the Swedish Volunteers (Ruotsalaisten vapaaehtoisten muistomitali) received during the Finnish Continuation War 1941-1945. The bronze medal features the Finnish Lion and the text written in Swedish: “För Finland 1941 – Stockholms Stads Frivilliga Skarpskytteförening” (For Finland 1941 – The Voluntary Sharpshooter Association of the Stockholm City). The medal comes with the original blue-and-white fabric ribbon with a later safety pin fastening.

CONDITION
The medal is in original vintage condition with patinated bronze surface and some signs of overall wear on the ribbon.
