TRENCH ART KNIFE

A vintage Finnish trench art ‘puukko’ knife from the Continuation war period (1941-1945) with a shape of a traditional kitchen knife. The slim handle has been made of scrap aluminium (possibly from an aircraft wreck) and the blade of carbon steel sheet. The handle is decorated with texts ‘Muisto Lempille 1.4.43’ (Commemorative for Lempi 1st Apr 1943). The knife is in good vintage condition.
