ITALIAN ‘FENTON’ MORION HELMET

Typical symmetrical infantry helmet used by the guard and infantry soldiers carrying halberds or other polearms. This particular helmet is of higher quality with an original blued finish and the skull made of one piece of steel. This is so-called Fenton morion. These were sold by the London company Fenton & Sons in the early years of the 1930s. Retaining almost all of the lining rivets (two rivets missing). The overall condition and the colour are very good. Small defect on the crest.
