PERSIAN HORN-GRIPPED QAMA DAGGER
DESCRIPTION
An antique Persian Qama dagger manufactured probably in the 19th century. The steel tang is fitted with green-coloured cow horn grip scales, secured with gold-decorated steel rivets. The fullered, double-edged steel blade is decorated with gilded etched designs and bears a manufacturer’s mark. The knife comes without a scabbard.
CONDITION
The knife is in used antique condition with signs of age and wear and a nicely patinated surface. The grip scales show signs of later repairs, and the small central decoration is missing.
