PRIMING FLASK MADE OF SILVER

800,00

SCANDINAVIA c. 1780–1800

A fine neoclassically decorated priming flask for a flintlock gun or main flask for traveling pistols made of solid silver. The flask is marked on the bottom with maker’s initials and engraved in typical Scandinavian ‘Gustavian’ fashion. The bottom lid slides open for filling. We can only guess the silver maker for our flask because there is no city mark involved. Most probably this was made in Sweden but we remain uncertain. Fine condition.
