RUSSIAN NAVY BLUNDERBUSS
IMPERIAL RUSSIA, c. 1785–1795
A late 18th century iron-mounted Russian blunderbuss musketoon taken as a war booty by the Swedish during the 1790s sea campaigns. The gun has been converted officially by the Swedish army to a percussion lock during the 1830s. Mounts are marked with Russian markings and the stock has the Swedish Navy ‘kassation’ mark (crossed circle). The barrel has original brown colour. The condition is nearly mint.
