An early 20th century tribal billao dagger from the region of the Horn of Africa. The horn grip is fitted with brass mounts and a round brass wheel pommel. The double-edged steel blade is asymmetrical as is typical for the Somali work. The back-stitched decorated leather sheath has a leather belt strap attached. The dagger is in nice untouched vintage condition with normal signs of wear.
