An impressive 19th century Sudanese quilted coat ‘jibba’ or ‘jibbah’ made of kapok-filled cotton fabric. Red and light brown panels are embroidered with floral patterns. The coat is in untouched antique condition with some dark spots and some damage to the outer fabric.
