An antique Swedish M/1748-1856 infantry hanger which got its fame during the War of Finland 1808-1809. The brass-hilted sword comes with a brass-mounted leather scabbard. The hilt is marked with a star and number ’73’. The sword is in untouched antique condition with signs of wear. The blade edge is heavily dented. The scabbard (which is in good condition and a right model for the pattern) is slightly tight and leaves a small gap of the ricasso visible.
