VINTAGE KENYAN MAASAI SEME SWORD

DESCRIPTION
An antique or vintage traditional Seme short sword manufactured probably in the early 20th century and used by the Maasai people in Kenya or Tanzania. The simple leather-and-fur handle is mounted to the widening double-edged steel blade. The back-stitched red-dyed leather sheath is of a sleek design. A metal button is attached to the tip of the sheath, most likely helping to keep the stitching together.

CONDITION
The sword is in good vintage condition with small signs of age and overall wear. The sword and the scabbard fit well together.
