DESCRIPTION
An original vintage Finnish WWII medal, the Commemorative Cross of the Air Forces (Ilmavoimien Muistoristi) awarded to those who took part in the Air Force operations during the Finnish Continuation War (1941-1944). The medal is made of black-oxidized tombac with gilded details. The original black-and-yellow silk ribbon is attached with the original metal clasp “ILMATORJUNTA” for the merits in Anti-Aircraft operations. The symbol of the Finnish Air Forces has been hidden in the photos.
CONDITION
The medal is in good vintage condition with small signs of age and wear and patinated surface.
