CAUCASIAN KINDJALL DAGGER

c.1850 / Armenia

Typical style of the kindjall dagger with two fullers and naive gold/brass koftgari decorations. Center of the blade has an unidentified master’s mark. The dagger’s handle is made of water buffalo horn. The wooden scabbard is covered with leather and mounted with steel mounts. Back of the scabbard has a restoration patch made of leather, c. 10 x 15cm.
