FINNISH M/1919 MILITARY DRESS KNIFE

FINLAND, c. 1920-1930

A classical Finnish dress knife M/1919 designed by Axel Gallen (Akseli Gallen-Kallela) during the first years of the Finnish independence. The short-bladed model pictured was used mostly by the Finnish NCOS and police officers. This example is made by Hackman & Co workshop, Finland and is equipped with a curved black-painted metal scabbard and the original leather strap. The knife is in good vintage condition with light signs of wear.
