FINNISH M/1928 ‘PYSTYKORVA’ KNIFE BAYONET

DESCRIPTION
An original vintage M/1928 knife bayonet manufactured by Hackman & Co for use with the M/1928 ‘Pystykorva’ Mosin-Nagant rifle used by the Finnish Civil Guard (Suojeluskunta). The handle has a two-part wooden grip and the scabbard is of black-painted steel. A German-made leather frog is attached. The ricasso is stamp-marked by the manufacturer and the handle is numbered ‘64264’ and stamp-marked with S for ‘Suojeluskunta’.

CONDITION
The bayonet is in good vintage condition with small signs of age and wear. The handle is remaining its original bluing. The locking button is working well and the knife fits well in its scabbard. The scabbard has apparently been re-painted at some point.
