DESCRIPTION
An antique Saxon German hunting sword manufactured in the late 18th century Saxony. The brass hilt is fitted with wooden walnut grip scales. The crossguard has engraved decorations and an old collection tag is attached on it. The curved steel blade is unfullered. The last-third of it is double-edged. The first-third of the blade is etch-decorated with mottos and two monograms of which the other one is the royal monogram of Frederick Augustus I of Saxony. The etchings have an old gold paint. A leather washer is still attached. The sword comes without a scabbard.

CONDITION
The sword is in untouched antique condition with some signs of age and overall wear. The blade shows some pitting and a small crack in its first-third. The blade is slightly bent in its last-third.
