A large-sized antique hilt of a Hungarian, possibly Transilvanian, magnate sabre. The silver-plated handle is decorated with fine silver filigree work, floral enamel decorations and small green precious stones. The hilt is in untouched antique condition with some dents and signs of wear and the uppermost filigree decoration missing. Inside the hilt are traces of the paste that originally fixed the blade of the sword.
