A regulation weapon for machinegunner troops. These swords were carried for self-defense and for cutting branches for machinegun adjustments. The sword is adorned with brass mounts. Leather covered wooden scabbard with a brass chape. Manufacture markings on the bottom of the blade and the crossguard are from Zlatost. Leather frog is original with a defected strap. Very fine sword in an overall good antique condition.
