FINNISH WWII TRENCH ART WATCH FOB

DESCRIPTION
An original vintage WWII period Finnish trench art watch fob manufactured by some Finnish soldier during the Finnish Continuation War (1941-1945). The watch fob is made of wreck aluminum, which was collected, among other sources, from downed airplanes. A brass coat-of-arms shield featuring the Finnish lion is embedded on the front of the object along with the engraved text ‘MUISTO’ (MEMORY) and the emblem of the 4th Field Artillery Regiment (4. Kenttätykistörykmentti). The reverse is dated 1942 and engraved with the initials ‘EV’.

CONDITION
The watch fob is in good vintage condition with small signs of age and wear and patinated surface.
