FINNISH WWI COMMEMORATIVE CROSS OF THE VILPPULA FRONTLINE

DESCRIPTION
An original vintage Finnish WWI medal, the Commemorative Cross of the Vilppula Frontline (Vilppulan Risti). This medal was awarded to those White soldiers who served in the so-called Vilppula frontline during the Finnish Liberation War (1918). The medal is made of steel, with a gilded brass Lion of Finland. The original red-blue-and-black silk ribbon is attached.

CONDITION
The medal is in good vintage condition with some signs of age and wear and patinated surface. The original ribbon is worn and faded.
