An antique Japanese hanpo samurai mask made of iron and finished with black and red urushi lacquer. The ‘yodari kake’ throat protection has been made of three plates. The cheeks are equipped with the ‘yorekugi’ hooks for securing the helmet. The mask is in untouched antique condition with wear on the lacquer surface and silk cords.
